New Bev Doolittle

The Arrival,
Size: 6 x 35 Limited Edition Giclee on Hahnemuble watercolor paper
Edition: 2500 signed & numbered
"The first sight of buffalo ignites excitement within a party of scouts. The lives of these men and these animals is entwined together on the vast map of the great plains. The arrival of the buffalo will herald many celebrations. The Creator has bestowed an answer to the tribess prayers with a gift of rain and endless herds. A season of provisioning begins, as the resourceful natives prepare to utilize every part of the bison for clothing, shelter, tools, weapons and food. A continuance of harmony and thanksgiving should propel the tribe for another year. Or, is there a storm-warning on the horizon?" BD

Can you be a Dutch Art Gallery Painter too?

by Susan Fair

Here are two finished paintings from our first oil painting workshop held May 1, 2010.
"Florals with Flair" was taught by new Dutch Art Gallery Artist Jamie Carter. The premise of the workshop was to focus more on the composition and feeling of the flowers rather than the subject matter. Jamie has been teaching art and painting classes for over 25 years and will be returning to teach at The Dutch Art Gallery again later this year.
